Dear brothers and sisters,

This weekend we celebrate the solemnity of Corpus Christi, we solemnly celebrate the Eucharistic presence of Christ among us, the “gift par excellence”: “This is my body (…). This is my blood” (Mk 14: 22.24). The Eucharist is the presence of Christ among us. The risen and glorious Christ remains among us in a mysterious but real way in the Eucharist. This presence implies an attitude of adoration on our part and an attitude of personal communion with Him. The Eucharistic presence guarantees us that He remains among us and carries out the work of salvation. The Eucharist is a mystery of faith. It is the center and key to the life of the Church. It is the source and root of Christian existence. Without the Eucharistic experience, the Christian faith would be reduced to a philosophy, but by faith we know that this is not the case, it is the greatest miracle, it is His living presence, which feeds us and accompanies us at all times.

Last weekend we started Communio, a program aimed at married couples and focused on the family and its sanctification. This new experience of faith seeks that our couples rediscover the sanctity and beauty of this wonderful vocation and above all that the future of our society is in their hands, because holy families form children and holy citizens. The first step for this experience is to complete the survey with some basic questions (age, gender, if you have the sacrament of marriage or not, among other simple questions) with the aim of seeing where we are. Please help me fill out the survey, only ten percent of our parishioner have done it so far. I pray to God that we can work on this project together.

We have already started working on our Parish Festival, which this year will be on Saturday, August 20th from 2:00pm to 10:00pm. Last year was a success due to the participation of all of you. We hope that this year will be even better than the previous one. In the coming weeks you will receive more information and in the first weeks of July you will receive the tickets for this year’s great raffle. I also invite those who wish to sponsor a food stand, wish to donate for the purchase of materials or the sponsorship of a game for the children, donations are welcome. Also, if you wish to promote your company or business, do not hesitate to contact the parish office to receive more information. All donations are welcome.

Finally, I call on all those who have not yet made their online donation switch from Faith Direct to Pushpay, to please do so. We should have closed Faith Direct almost two months ago. I know that some of you have not switched over to Pushpay because you think it is unnecessary, but the benefits that this new platform brings, which are not only donations to the parish, but are also an order and control of data in the office and communication with ministries and groups. This is very important because it is a software that makes the operation of the parish system a lot easier. I ask you to please help me to get everyone to switch to the new platform, Pushpay. There are a few parishioners that are missing and your donations are important for us and for the operation of the parish. Please, I ask you to make the switch in these weeks so that I can close Faith Direct by July 1st.

I commend you in my prayers,

Fr. Alex
