We are blessed to have dedicated catechists, aides, and volunteers who assist parents in the important task of bringing children closer to Christ and His Church. Say the Word and My Soul Shall be Healed is the theme for Catechetical Sunday, now scheduled for September 20, 2026 at 12:00PM. Catechists will be recognized for their vocation to the ministry of catechesis.
Are you interested in helping in the Religious Education Program to teach our children or in RCIA to teach adults about our faith?
As required by the Diocese of Arlington, ALL VOLUNTEERS MUST be compliant with the Office of Child Protection. A Criminal Background Check needs to be completed in order for any person 18 years of age or older to help within the program and work with children. There is a second component, which is to attend a class to learn more about child protection and how to know when there are signs of misconduct with children. The class is roughly four hours and it is available in Spanish and in English.
