Dear parishioners:

We have started the month of July and we are already enjoying the summer atmosphere, a time where many take a space to take vacations and to enjoy a little more with their family, I hope you do and it helps us to unite more; but nevertheless, at this time there are many who also take vacations in their life of faith and their contact with God, some stop participating on Sundays in the Sunday Eucharist in even the sacrament of confession, remember God does not take vacations to pour out on us his blessings and his graces. When we go on vacation we always have to look for a place to participate in the Holy Eucharist, because God is always faithful to us and we should always be grateful for his love and mercy.

Changing the subject. I thank all of you for your support and financial collaboration to our parish, we ended the fiscal year on June 30 and thank God we ended well with a profit not like what we expected, and we are not in the red numbers; I know that this upcoming fiscal year will be a little tighter financially, but I trust in God and in his generosity that we can overcome these challenges. At the end of October we will release the exact financial report with the details of how the finances were handled this year; As your parish priest I have tried to manage everything you have donated to the best of my ability and I have sought the best for the parish; I don’t know if you have noticed but our sanctuary is cleaner and more orderly, our carpet  was completely changed and some other changes were made to improve the church. My dream as your Pastor is to modernize the facilities and provide them with what is necessary to make our groups and our activities have what is necessary; All this is thanks to your commitment and the unity we maintain.

I want to raise awareness of the ministerial reality that we have, this year we need more extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion, because many of the active ministers will no longer continue, some for health reasons and others because they have moved from the area for work reasons, yes If anyone is interested, please contact one of the priests or call us at the parish office to indicate the process to be part of this beautiful ministry.

Next, August 19 we will hold the third Family Festival, and we have already started with the organization. Soon they will begin to receive tickets for the raffle, this year the prizes will be $4,000, $2,000 and three prizes of $1,000, the raffle seeks to have a profit for the parish, the value of the ticket is $5.00; Along with the tickets you will also receive a letter where I explain the details of the raffle, there are 10 tickets per family, I ask you to please participate and buy the tickets, the more we sell, the more profit we will have for our parish.

Finally, this weekend we celebrate the day of our independence, I consider that it is an auspicious day to pray for our nation, for our rulers and for the needs that we as a country suffer. At the same time give thanks to God for everything great and beautiful that we possess. As your pastor and on behalf of the entire parish staff I wish you all a happy Fourth of July, enjoy it as a family and hopefully rest and celebrate.

May God bless you all and Happy Independence Day.
