Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ Jesus,
Today we celebrate in the whole universal church the great solemnity of Pentecost. With this solemnity, the church’s universality begins concretely, and from this day on, it will be the force that will guide and inspire it forever. That day, the apostles and Mary were filled with the Holy Spirit, and they courageously began to preach; those frightened men had been transformed into brave preachers who did not fear prison, torture, or martyrdom. It is not strange; the power of the Spirit was in them and will continue to work permanently to this day. As Christians, we must be clear that “The Holy Spirit,” The Third Person of the Holy Trinity, is the soul of my soul, the life of my life, the being of my being; He is my sanctifier, the guest of my deepest interior. In order to reach maturity in the life of faith, the relationship with Him must be more and more conscious, more personal. In this celebration of Pentecost, let us open the doors of our interi-or to welcome it.
Thanks to the work of the Holy Spirit, I officially announce that since last Wednesday our school has hired a new princi-pal, who will start on July 1 of this year. Her name is Kristie Meyers. You can find the official letter of this announce-ment in a separate special space within the bulletin. I invite you to officially welcome Mrs. Meyers to our Queen of Apostles parish family and keep her present in your prayers.
This week, many have asked me about the guidelines changes on mask-wearing, related to the announcement that the Governor made on May 13. I ask you to be patient; the diocese has asked us to wait for the state to clarify the ex-ecutive measures they have published fully; this week, we will continue with the protocols that the diocese has or-dered us to follow. In particular, I ask for your patience and responsibility, and I know that many of us have already received the vaccines and therefore feel that everything is over. The Pandemic is not over yet, and we must continue to take care of ourselves; I know of many who, even with the vaccine, have been infected and have had a bad experi-ence. As Saint Teresa says, “Patience reaches everything …” Let us be patient and cautious as this situation changes.
Finally, I continue to invite parents to encourage their children to become Servants of the Altar, and I invite children who are already altar boys to return to help at Masses; we have very few for now, especially in the Spanish masses. Altar boys are little apostles who serve directly at the Sacrifice table; I am concerned that many have not returned to help at Masses, I keep them in my prayers, and hopefully, we can see them again soon.
I hope you have a blessed week and that with the grace and guidance of the Holy Spirit, we can continue to gain spir-itual and material fruits in our parish.

Queridos Hermanos en Cristo Jesús:
Hoy celebramos en toda la iglesia universal la gran solemnidad de Pentecostés. Con esta solemnidad da inicio de manera concreta la universalidad de la iglesia, y desde ese día será la fuerza que la guiara y la inspirará por siempre. Aquel día, los apóstoles junto con María quedaron llenos del Espíritu Santo, y se pusieron a predicar valientemente. Aquellos hombres ate-morizados habían sido transformados en valientes predicadores que no temían la cárcel, ni la tortura, ni el martirio. No es extraño; la fuerza del Espíritu estaba en ellos y seguirá hasta el día de hoy obrando de manera permanente. Como Cristianos debemos de tener claro que “El Espíritu Santo”, Tercera Persona de la Santísima Trinidad, es el alma de mi alma, la vida de mi vida, el ser de mi ser; es mi santificador, el huésped de mi interior más profundo. Para llegar a la madurez en la vida de fe es preciso que la relación con Él sea cada vez más consciente, más personal. En esta celebración de Pentecostés abramos las puertas de nuestro interior de par en par.
Gracias a la obra del Espíritu Santo, les anuncio oficialmente que desde el miércoles pasado nuestra escuela ha contratado una nueva principal, que iniciara el 1 de Julio de este año, su nombre es Kristie Meyers, pueden encontrar la carta oficial de su anuncio en un espacio especial separado dentro del boletín. Les invito a que le demos oficialmente la bienvenida a la Señora Meyers a nuestra familia parroquial de Reina de los Apóstoles, y a que le tengamos presente en nuestras oraciones.
Esta semana muchos me han pregunto sobre los cambios en las medidas de protección, relacionadas con el anuncio que el Gobernador hizo el pasado 13 de mayo. Les pido que tengan paciencia, la diócesis nos ha pedido que esperemos a que el estado aclare bien las medidas ejecutivas que han publicado, esta semana aun seguiremos con los protocolos que la dióce-sis nos ha mandado seguir. En lo particular les pido paciencia y responsabilidad, sé que muchos ya hemos recibido las vacu-nas y por ello sentimos que ya todo termino; la Pandemia no ha terminado aún, y de manera personal debemos de seguirnos cuidando; se de muchos que aun con la vacuna han sido infectados y han pasado una mala experiencia, como dice Santa Teresa, “La paciencia todo lo alcanza…” seamos pacientes y prudentes ante los cambios que vienen.
Finalmente, sigo invitando a los padres de familia a que animen a sus hijos a convertirse en Servidores del Altar, e invito a los niños que ya son monaguillos a que regresen a ayudar en las misas, tenemos muy pocos por ahora, especialmente en las Misas en español. Los monaguillos son pequeños apóstoles que sirven directamente a la mesa del Sacrificio, me preocu-pa que muchos no han regresado a ayudar en las misas, les tengo en mis oraciones y ojala pronto podamos verles nueva-mente.
Espero que tengan una semana bendecida y que con la gracia y guía del Espíritu Santo podamos seguir cosechando frutos espirituales y materiales en nuestra parroquia.
