Like every week, I am pleased to greet you and encourage you to continue building the kingdom of God together by living the challenges of each day with joy and holiness; always bearing in mind that each challenge is an opportunity to get closer to heaven, which is the goal of every Christian.

I would like to announce that the last week of this month of February, we will begin a monthly series of catechesis on different topics of formation to increase our faith. These topics will be taught by Father Rampino and myself. Everyone is invited to participate; it does not matter if you are members of a ministry or not, my goal is that everyone can have access to learn more about our faith. The first session will be held on February 22nd in English, then in March, the series will continue to be the first Tuesday of each month in English and the first Thursday of each month in Spanish.

I also am officially announcing that starting next week, you can start downloading the parish application on your phone! Through this application everyone will have access to the latest events, news, and activities in an easier and faster way. You will also be able to do online donations quickly and safely. For more detailed information, our parish staff will create a flyer with the steps to download the app and steps to learn how to use it. From a smart phone, everyone will be able to access the parish app from wherever they are. With regards to those who have expressed their concerns to me on how they find it difficult to use these new tools; the parish staff will give you all the information and help you need through various workshops that will instruct you on how to use the application; you will see that in the end, it will be something very easy and pleasant to use.

Nevertheless, I want to encourage all those who give their donations through Faith Direct, to consider making the switch to Pushpay, which is the new platform we have adapted. Pushpay has better and more modern mechanisms to receive your donations online. I gave a donation last week and it works great! Know that as of April 1st, Faith Direct will stop working, so I ask you to consider switching soon. If you have any questions regarding this change, do not hesitate to call us at the parish office and we will gladly give you the necessary information and help you make the platform switch.

Finally, I want to congratulate the children of our religious education program and of our school because on February 12th, they will make their first confession. It is a special occasion for them, because they will encounter the grace of God for the first time. I invite you to pray with me for all these boys and girls who are going to access this beautiful sacrament for the first time. From now on, I congratulate you and thank the catechists who have made an effort to train you very well so that you can enjoy this day.

I hope you have a blessed week. I have you in my prayers,

F. Alex
