Dear Parishioners

I hope you are enjoying this beautiful autumn season. This season inspires me to rediscover God’s presence in nature and appreciate His perfection. When I see how the colors of the trees change, it is an unmistakable sign of His presence among us.

We are two weeks away from finishing this liturgical year. On Sunday, the 24th, we will celebrate the Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe, and begin a new liturgical year. We will soon release the calendar with the different Advent and Christmas activities so you can plan and participate.

A week ago, the bathrooms and the vestibule were painted and cleaned. This is a testament to our collective responsibility to keep the sanctuary always clean and in good condition. Some of you say they last cleaned or painted several years ago. As many of you know, I think of keeping everything in the sanctuary and all the facilities clean and in good condition. But for this to happen, we have to work as a team. Therefore, I encourage parents not to allow children to stain the vestibule’s walls or to light the candles and blow out the tapers on the wall, just as they use crayons and paint the walls with them. Remember that the beauty of the temple is everyone’s responsibility.

Also, we have changed the light bulbs on the chandeliers. Now, they are a little brighter. The idea was initially to change the chandeliers and put some better lights, but I have yet to make that decision since some are not in favor of the change. For now, we will only enjoy the new bulbs with more light.

The week of the 17th to the 23rd of this month is dedicated to discovering the richness of Catholic education. It is a week to pray for our school and promote it. Thank God our school is improving, and our principal is striving, along with all the faculty and staff, to make it better every day and provide a better education to our children. I thank all those who directly sponsor some of our children at school. God bless you; your donations help low-income students get a quality education. I encourage parents with school-aged children to consider sending them to our school; the best thing you can give a child is a good education. Remember that we live in a moral crisis in public schools; sending them here would greatly help them. Do not be afraid to send your children to our school; this week, I ask you to come and ask for information; remember that all children have the right to a decent, quality education.

Some have asked me about the candles for the Adoration Chapel, for which I asked for your collaboration a few months ago. I inform you that they are being made and will take a while to arrive. We hope to have them soon. As soon as they arrive, I will let you know, and you will notice for yourselves when you go to adore the Blessed Sacrament.

Finally, this weekend, we will have one of the seminarians of our diocese, come to share with us his vocational experience. This weekend is dedicated to praying for our seminarians, who are the future of our diocese. Let us ask the Lord to give us Holy and Wise seminarians and to have good priests in the future.

I hope you all have a happy week.

May God bless you, and I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for your continued support and dedication to our parish community.
