Dear Parish Family,
With joy, we welcome the month of August, a month that offers us new opportunities to thank God for His blessings and to continue growing together as a community of faith. I pray that the Lord will fill these days with hope, fraternity, and a renewed commitment to our parish.
In the Gospel for this Eighteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time (Mt 14:13–21), we contemplate Jesus multiplying the loaves and fish to feed a great multitude. Before performing the miracle, Jesus has compassion for those who follow Him and asks His disciples to become involved: “Give them some food yourselves” (Mt 14:16). Although the disciples believe that they have very little to offer, Jesus takes what they have, blesses it, and multiplies it abundantly.
This Gospel reminds us that when we place our gifts in the Lord’s hands, no matter how small they may seem, He can transform them into a blessing for many. Jesus also invites us not to remain indifferent to the needs of others, but to share our time, talents, and resources generously.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you wholeheartedly for your constant participation in the life of our parish: in our liturgical celebrations, pastoral groups, liturgical ministries, faith formation programs, and various community events. You are the living heart of this community. Through your prayers, service, commitment, and generosity, we build the Kingdom of God together and make our parish a true spiritual family.
In this same spirit of communion and Christian joy, it fills me with happiness to continue inviting you to participate in our Parish Family Festival, which will take place on August 22. It will be an afternoon filled with life, music, family fun, and fellowship. We will have traditional foods from different countries and cultures, entertainment for the entire family, children’s games, a fun mechanical bull, and the lively presence of a live mariachi band whose music will delight everyone in attendance.
This festival is an opportunity not only to enjoy ourselves and spend time together, but also to strengthen the bonds that unite us as a community and to support our parish in its pastoral and financial needs. Therefore, I strongly encourage you to support the festival by purchasing and returning your raffle tickets as soon as possible. Your contribution, no matter how small it may seem, makes a great difference and allows us to continue serving everyone with love.
I also wish to express my profound gratitude to everyone who contributed to this year’s Bishop’s Lenten Appeal. Thanks to your generosity, effort, and commitment, we have finally reached our goal. This accomplishment is the fruit of the love and responsibility of our entire parish community. May God reward your generosity abundantly!
In the same way, I sincerely thank everyone who supports our parish financially. Thank you for your faithfulness and for the love you show toward this spiritual family. Your contributions make it possible for us to continue our evangelizing mission, maintain our facilities, and respond to the many pastoral needs of our community.
