Our Clergy

Fr. Alexander Diaz, Pastor, was born October 18, 1976, in Victoria, Cabanas, El Salvador to parents Maria Trinidad Diaz and Jacinto Amaya. He entered the Pio XII Minor Seminary of the Diocese of San Vicente in 1992. He studied philosophy at Our Lady of the Way Seminary (Nuestra Senora del Camino) in Solola, Guatemala (1996-98) and theology at St. Joseph of the Mountain Seminary (Seminario Mayor, San José de La Montana), San Salvador, El Salvador (2000-02). He also studied pedagogy at the Don Bosco Salesian University in El Salvador. Father Diaz was ordained on March 25, 2006, in the Diocese of Zacatecoluca, El Salvador, by Bishop Elias Samuel Bolaños. He was incardinated into the Diocese of Arlington on September 7, 2016. He has since served at several parishes, including Holy Family Church in Dale City, VA, and Our Lady of Angels in Woodbridge, VA.


Father Ramón Dominguez , YA, Parochial Vicar, was born in Havana, Cuba. He graduated from Our Lady of Good Counsel HS in Wheaton, MD and then graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He worked for the US State Department for several years in embassy design and construction. During that time, he joined Youth Apostles Institute. He later graduated from St. John’s Seminary in Boston, MA and was ordained on June 3, 2000 for the Diocese of Fall River. He served as Parochial Vicar at the Cathedral and St. Anne in Fall River, then as Administrator for St. Hedwig and Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe parishes before moving back down to Virginia in 2004. At that time, he founded the Don Bosco Center in Manassas and has assisted at various parishes including St. John the Apostle, Holy Trinity, St. Katharine Drexel, and has served as Interim Chaplain at PVI HS and Virginia Tech, Shenandoah University, and the Spanish Charismatic Renewal in Arlington.


Deacon Vincent Kapral was born on July 4, 1967, in Corning, NY, where he attended St Mary’s parish until he joined the military in 1985. He married his wife Anne at St Mary’s on December 29, 1989. From 1989 until 2002, they attended various parishes in Virginia Beach, Italy, and Florida. On October 13, 2012, Vince was ordained as a Permanent Deacon in the Diocese of Richmond and was assigned to serve at St John the Apostle parish. Most recently, he served at Santa Sophia parish in Spring Valley, CA, until they returned home to VA this July. Interestingly, he often spent the early and mid-1980s with his uncle, who lived off Sleepy Hollow Road and attended Queen of Apostles parish.
