“We are one body in Christ and everyone members one of another” (Romans 12:4).
The Banica Mission is a partnership between the Diocese of Arlington, VA, USA, and the Diocese of San Juan de la Maguana, D.R., serving 10,000 poor people in the rural area of the Dominican Republic on the border of Haiti. Every year we look for youth between the ages of 16 to early 20s to join the mission trip, as well as adult volunteers to chaperone. Our ten-day trips occur in the month of July. Mission work may include building a house, painting icons, door-to-door evangelization, or interacting with the local people. Spanish is helpful, but not required for missionaries.
